Junior Football Tournament
Wombwell Town Football Club are delighted to be hosting a summer tournament with teams taking part from age groups U7 to U12 on the weekend of 24th and 25th July 2021.
- Registration will start from 8:30am. We will have a managers’ briefing at 9:15am at the registration tent. The first games will start at 9:30am. - Teams will be allocated a numbered ‘base’ near their pitch on the day. This will provide you with a set location for the day. - We really hope that everyone can park in our on-site car park. It is safe and will avoid any issues with local residents. There is room for over 200 cars. The charge will be £3 per car for the full day which includes a raffle ticket and programme. The car park will be open from 7:30am. - Any spectators entering the venue on foot will be charged £2 each (including a raffle ticket) - We have a range of hot food available (breakfast items, burgers, hot dogs, chips) as well as drinks, snacks and other refreshments. Our bar will also be open throughout the day. - Please ask players to arrive changed. Can any clubs with home and away kits please bring both to avoid any potential colours clashes. - Box Photography will be on site for both days. These are an independent company taking and selling photographs of players throughout the day for purchase. Please complete the relevant form and bring with you on the day. - There will also be an inflatable play area on site. Day passes are available at £3 per person to allow for multi-use throughout the day. As this is our first ever tournament, we are obviously keen for the two days to be a success. However, please be patient if there are any issues on the day as all those involved are volunteers. We look forward to welcoming you all to Wombwell Town and to watching some great football whilst creating amazing memories.

Update (02/07/21): We have today received Tournament Sanctioning from Sheffield FA. We thank Leon Dearns for his help over the past week.
Update (16/06/21): Due to the size of the pitches available for the weekend there has been a slight change to the size of the starting line-ups for both U11 and U12. They will now be 7v7 (instead of 9v9). All entered teams have been emailed about the change. We apologise for any disruption to teams' plans of those who have entered the tournament so far.
Guidelines: When the Tournament begins there may still be some Government Guidelines for the Coronavirus Pandemic. We will be following these rules and all teams will be made aware of them closer to the tournament dates.
